New Jersey, Los Angeles, and now Las Vegas based drummer Ryan Krieger is a force to be reckoned with. His drumming combines the sheer power of rock, the tightness of funk, with many jazz touches thrown in for good measure. Known for his sensitive, powerful, and inventive style, Ryan is equally comfortable switching styles from instrumental, singer/songwriter, rock, pop, jazz, latin, electronic, all the way to hardcore and metal.
Growing up around his father’s audiophile musings, exposed to hundreds of great albums played at the “proper volume,” Ryan discovered his own love for music, especially punk, metal, and jazz. While playing around in his native Northern NJ and New York City, he met up with jazz drummer Karl Latham. After a few solid years of studying, Ryan began his professional career.
Ryan has dabbled in different musical worlds over his career, shooting back and forth between the ever-burgeoning Jam band scene with Dr. Didg, to the incredibly loyal Hardcore/Metal scene with the Cro-Mags, and later Harley’s War. The bands Ryan played with allowed him to share stages as unique and diverse as Bruce Hornsby to Slayer and everything in between. In addition he has been in demand for recording and session work with various producers and performances encompassing many different styles. Ryan is currently performing on the Las Vegas strip with "Legends in Concert", working for TV and film, corporate events, casinos, school assemblies, conducting workshops, touring theatrical performances, and teaching drum lessons. Ryan has recorded and performed internationally throughout USA, Canada, Europe, and Japan.
Ryan also actively pursues the world of recording studio precision and experimentation, rendering performances on stage utilizing laptops, sequencers, and occasional effects. He occasionally moonlights as a guitar and bass player and composes. His peers regard him as an exceptional musician.
